Health Equipment, Medical Supplies-freeze Bed Bugs

Health Equipment, Medical Supplies-freeze Bed Bugs
American hospitals and healthcare facilities can now safely treat their patient and medical supply areas by freezing bed bugs, beetles and cockroaches. In my conversations with Healthcare Facility Managers there are obvious concerns about bedbugs in hospital supplies and common areas.
Bedbugs do not discriminate and are just as likely to invade a health care facility as a hotel or motel. While all areas within a facility are susceptible to infestation, certain areas are more vulnerable than others. These include long-term care facilities where patients are more likely to bring luggage and personal effects, maternity and psychiatric wards where patients are admitted as temporary residences and any area that has a high volume of unrestricted traffic, like waiting rooms and admission areas.
Most facilities with healthcare supplies employ an Integrated Pest Management system that is environmentally friendly, in order to reduce the potential for a negative impact on their environment. Patients require special attention because they may have compromised neurological, immune, digestive and respiratory systems that put them at risk of suffering from the overwhelming effects of pesticides. And of course, pregnant women, children and the elderly are especially vulnerable.

Cryonite is an organic, non-disruptive approach to controlling and managing bug infestations in healthcare supplies. It will kill bed bugs, flour beetles, cockroaches and kitchen pests without disturbing your patients, without leaving an odor and without any side effects. The carbon dioxide snow kills bugs through rapid freezing. The Cryonite effect is dependent on snow particle size and speed which combine to overwhelm the bug and flash freeze them from the outside in and from the inside out. Because of their hard exoskeleton, these bugs are heavily protected from the environment and can withstand rapid cooling by going into a hybernative state. It is the ability of Cryonite to penetrate these defenses which makes it the most effective method of killing bedbugs, cockroaches, beetles, their larvae and eggs.
